To all Springfield Tennis Club Members:

We have recently received the guidelines from the City of Mississauga that tennis clubs must follow in order to re-open.  Given the significant limitations of the services that we can offer our members this year (e.g. no doubles leagues, no round robins, maintaining physical distancing, etc), we have decided to take the opportunity to resurface our courts this summer.  As you know the courts have been badly in need of resurfacing for a couple of years now.  The City of Mississauga has agreed to fix the drainage issues that are causing the cracks, resurface the courts and provide new fencing.  We are incredibly excited to see all this work happening very shortly.  As such the Club will be closed for the 2020 season.

I know many of you are disappointed that the club will not be open this year, but we felt that this was a great opportunity in light of what was going to be a very challenging season.

We will stay in touch with you throughout the summer to keep you updated on how the reconstruction is going.  And we will be very excited to welcome you back in 2021 with our beautiful new courts!

Stay safe, stay healthy!
